Took the 'Gather' and the 'Nook' tent on a 5 day camping trip to Stradbroke Island and experienced the heat and an extreme downpour. These tents helps up really well.
I ended up using the 'Gather' as my tent while my friend used the smaller 'Nook' tent. I found the Gather amazing. lots of room, easy to stand in and fit my queen size inflatable mattress easily. I still had room for a table and my suitcase open as well as a little shelf.
The airflow was outstanding. All the walls open up and the tent doesn't become a sauna like many tents I have used previously. It allowed the breeze in and all the open sides had fly screen netting that zipped around which I used at night.
Inflation was effortless and easy. The 'Gather' stayed up without the need for a top up. The 'Nook' needed a little top up on day 5 due to the heavy rain but nothing extreme.
The tents were both water proof with no leaks. Considering the amount of rain we had and the strong winds they both held up really well. My friend loved staying in the 'Nook' and said it was very cosy. We didn't connect the tents we were using them separately.
She had a queen inflatable mattress in her tent and had a little bit of room on the side for changing and her luggage and a side table.
We both loved our experience using these two tents.
Christian, I loved reading this! Heat, a proper downpour and five days on Straddie is the best test these tents could get, and they came through. Thank you for being one of the first to take them out before launch. It means so much.
